I could be way off base here, but if what you are thinking about is everdure, then everdure is a trade name for silicon bronze alloy. I think everdur is a tradename. I ran a few fillets the other day and it flowed really well, even without flux (didnt have any on hand). Eureka everdur 1010 tig rods are silicon.
